Scallop Studio is a recently renovated upstairs studio apartment, offering just the place for an escape from the city hustle and bustle, where you can sleep at night listening to the crashing waves just 60-metres away.

THE STUDIO

The studio has everything one would need for a comfortable stay, with a queen-sized bed and sofa bed for your child or an extra guest. Leading out from the en-suite studio room is your own private patio with a built-in covered braai area. The kitchen area is fully equipped except for a convection oven.

LIVING

The unit is pet-friendly and child-friendly, although there are stairs leading up to the studio. This unit is solar-powered, promising a truly relaxing and interruption-free holiday.

A KolKol (wood-fried hot tub) is available in the indigenous fynbos garden for villa & studio guests to use.

THE AREA

Paternoster is home to unbroken sunsets, dreamy corners and flourishing nature. This is a place where warm-hearted people, unspoiled white sandy beaches and enchanting restaurants welcome you to a beach holiday just two hours from Cape Town. 

Paternoster is one of the oldest fishing villages on South Africa’s West Coast. Many people believe that the name, which means ‘Our Father’ in Latin, refers to prayers said by Catholic Portuguese seamen when they became shipwrecked. Others believe it refers to the beads that the Khoi tribe wore, known as ‘Paternosters.’

A communal KolKol hot tub is available to guests.
