Loft Studio

Tanagra is an idyllic wine farm close to McGregor and part of the Robertson Wine Route and Route 62, producing handcrafted wines and Grappa as well as Eau de Vie. The Loft Studio is an open-plan, one-bedroom venue located above the old Tanagra winery (81sqm) and next to the historic homestead.

THE STUDIO

The highlight of Loft Studio is a spacious and sunny wooden deck providing scenic views over the mountains, the beautiful farm dam and the vineyards - one of the best spots for a sundowner on the farm. 

SLEEPING

Sleeps 2 in a king size bed with pure cotton linen, a mosquito net, aircon and fans. The en-suite bathroom has a loo and shower.

LIVING

The open-plan living area has an open fireplace and electric heater for cold winter nights. The spacious deck is a great place to chill and enjoy a glass of wine while enjoying the sweeping farm views. A private lapa is attached with a braai area and hammock and guests have access to the pool in the garden.

THE AREA

Rest and unwind with a good book and a glass of wine in the garden or on your stoep, and explore the farm for walks or to watch birds in abundance. Tanagra farm is 78ha in size and for most parts accessible by various walking/ hiking trails (also great for mountain-biking), ranging from a leisurely 10 minutes' walk to a couple of hours' hike with access into the Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve. If you wish to be more active, there are a variety of activities to pursue in the area.

Complimentary items include tea/ coffee facilities, salt, pepper and olive oil. 

There is an honesty bar with Tanagra wines.

BOOKING TERMS

Payment Terms

A deposit of 50% of the total amount needs to be made within 24 hours to secure the booking.

The full rate is due for bookings made less than a week prior to arrival and for bookings for one night only. Published rates may be changed without prior notice.

Cancellation Terms

No fees 28 days prior
25% 15 – 27 days prior
50% 8 – 14 days prior
100% 7 days or less prior
An administration fee of 5% will be levied for any cancellation (including changes of bookings).

Covid19 policy: Please note that depending on our booking & cleaning schedule check-in might be 1 - 2 hours later than usually to ensure proper cleaning and sanitising of the cottages. We will however do our very best to offer you a check-in at the usual times.

Minimum stays: We reserve the right to impose minimum stays for certain periods or cottages (especially over weekends and peak periods), though please always feel welcome to enquire for one night, too.
