THE VILLA 

The Villa was once home to David and Rita de Trafford. This home has loads of character and quirk which can be spotted in the art, decorated walls and furniture. Gently tucked away in the mountains and blending in with the scenery that surrounds it, the villa is secluded and blissfully quiet.

LIVING 

The well equipped open-plan kitchen is a delight to cook in in the company of your travel companions. The comfortable lounge overlooking the pool and the mountains boasts a beautiful open-air wood burning fireplace. The patio has a large outdoor dining area and comfortable outdoor furniture to maximise outdoor living and relaxing. 

THE AREA

You will be spoilt for scenery, wine farms and hikes in the Upper Blaauwklippen Valley. The Villa is approximately 12km from Stellenbosch central and 393m above sea level. There are loads of fantastic hiking and mountain biking routes to enjoy in the area - some physical activity can be perfectly balanced with a wine route in the valley, starting at de Trafford wines of course. 

GOOD TO KNOW 

A refundable breakage deposit of R1000 is required to make a booking.

The hosts leave guests with a stay starter-pack including fruit, biscuits, firewood, milk and two bottles of de Trafford wines. 

No pets or children under the age of 12 years old. 

You are invited for a complimentary wine tasting at de Trafford winery on booking your stay.

  • A very happy stay in a beautiful place

    We had a really lovely stay and although we initially had misgivings about the house not locking up securely we soon realised we were quite safe there at the end of the road! We loved the indigenous garden and the amazing bird life it attracted, we also loved just being able to put on our shoes and walk on the mountain. Overall it was a very happy stay in a beautiful place and we found the friendly dogs a lovely bonus thrown in. The homely touch of the wine and the milk in the fridge was much appreciated.
