Cabins Just Landed 🔥

Posted on Mon December 18, 2023.

2023 has seen the birth of many brand new cabin builds, pods and cottages. The (eco) cabin and pod trend is hot, an experience not to be missed by locals and internationals alike.

The rise in demand for less complicated lifestyles, traveling with a lighter footprint and getting closer to nature has translated into spaces designed for simplicity, eco-friendly building materials (including solar as a solution to SA's continued loadshedding challenges), and seamless integration with one's natural surroundings.

Below are just a few of the new launches this year:

AGAMA CABIN

Stellenbosch , Cape Winelands

Situated in the Banhoek valley between Stellies and Franschhoek, Agama Cabin is high in the mountains, with a stunning view into the valley itself and across the valley floor to the Simonsberg range. This little winelands mountain escape is surrounded by landscaped orchards and wild fynbos; the perfect getaway for two.

PHILADELPHIA CABIN

Rawsonville, Western Cape

Secretly hidden away between pristine fynbos, this cabin is located on high ground, providing majestic views down into the Breede Valley. With a natural spring a few metres away and walking trails on your doorstep. A beautifully secluded and intimate getaway for two.

CAMDEN PARK BUNGALOW

Hermanus, Overberg

Situated on a picturesque working thoroughbred stud farm, set in the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, Camden Park is an open-plan bungalow with magnificent views over the valley. The deck is designed for living, giving the bungalow an indoor-outdoor feeling with a wood fired hot tub, lounger, dining table and gas braai.

LITTLE ACRE LUXURY PODS

Wolseley, Cape Winelands

Three identical pods, situated 35 meters apart on the same organic wine and olive estate, were built to maximise your surroundings. From star gazing through the glass roof tops to taking in the views from your own private hot tub, your stay is guaranteed to be a memorable one.

VERLOREN CABIN

Touws River , Karoo

Secluded and oh-so romantic, the stylish, entirely off-grid Verloren Cabin for two was designed to blend beautifully into the Karoo landscape. Located in the Breede River District between Touws River and Montagu. Wild animals like Eland, Brown Hyena, Aardvark and Steenbokkies roam free on the farm.

YELLOWSTONE CABIN

Touws River, Karoo

The sleek and fully off-grid Yellowstone Cabin sleeping up to four is a tranquil Karoo retreat offering breath-taking views, with both bedrooms opening onto sun loungers and a wooden deck. Outdoor features include a wood fired hot tub, private boma area as well as an outdoor shower and bath tub.

SPIONKOP ECO CABIN

Reddersburg, Free State

Situated on a working cattle farm just outside Reddersburg, this solar powered, completely off-grid eco cabin (with high speed WIFI throughout) offers some of the most beautiful sunsets you will find, overlooking the Free State plains. Spionkop was thoughtfully designed and furnished to ensure upmost comfort and views from all angles.

EAGLE VIEW THREE CABIN

Dullstroom, Mpumalanga

This glass-fronted, open plan cabin is hidden amid the Steenkampberg mountain range at 7000 feet above sea level, approximately 15 km from Dullstroom adjacent to Walkersons Private Estate. Positioned atop a lofty mountain peak, it boasts sweeping panoramic vistas of the splendid valley, rendering it an idyllic secluded sanctuary catering to couples seeking a romantic escape.
