Skurwekop Cabin offers a lovely welcome basket, soft bathrobes and slippers, designer beds, a cigar and whiskey menu, a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering, loads of natural light, views from all rooms and a beautiful outdoor bath to relax in while enjoying the sunset.
The stoep boasts a comfortable outdoor furniture set and a free standing braai.
THE AREA
Rosendal is a small farming town and arts colony 49 km north of Ficksburg in the Free State province of South Africa which was founded in 1908. It has become a popular tourist destination, known for spectacular scenery, including the surrounding mountains, and is home to a community of artists and small business owners. The town has a number of attractive buildings and early-20th-century homes. There are several art galleries and several small cafés cum restaurants as well as a heritage district of restored buildings in the former downtown.
The town itself is very safe to walk around in so enjoy a slow meander through the peaceful gravel streets. Rosendal is a very popular mountain biking destination with over 300km of gravel roads in the area.
