THE COTTAGE 

Dwarriega gets its name from the ephemeral Droe-Dwarriega river that runs across the farm past the cottage. If you're lucky (following some good rain) you may see it flowing, filled with tadpoles and life.

LIVING 

110 hectare off-the-grid farm between Barrydale and Montagu. Nestled amongst fynbos flora, Dwarriega, one of two cottages on the farm provides uninterrupted views across the valley, offering the perfect retreat for discerning travellers looking for refuge in nature.

The wrap around deck offers various ways to enjoy this stunning location, with unique and uninterrupted views from all angles. The views can also be enjoyed from the luxurious king bed, while cooking in the functional, well equipped kitchen and of course from the wood fired hot tub.

The kitchen is well equipped with a gas oven, microwave, toaster, gas stove and coffee grinder. The braai at the entrance to the cottage offers a sheltered alternative for cooking.

THE AREA

Suidster (between Montagu and Barrydale on the world-famous R62) covers 110 hectares of pristine fynbos at the foot of the Langeberg mountains. The cottage runs on solar and is completely off-the-grid. Explore the beauty of Klein Karoo fauna at its best. Total privacy, peace, and quiet... enjoy your wood-fired hot tub, under the most beautiful starry skies on earth.

There are 2 lovely walking trails on the property. The Fynbos Trail is a 5 km circular trail and The Mountain Pool Trail is 3 km out, and 3 km back.
